@jksonny - Sue Ellen is one of the reasons I watched the show for 8 years. I didn't like the Cliff or Lucy storylines. One image in my mind, I might be wrong, but Sue Ellen was at an AA meeting and the only thing you saw was her huge and gaudy diamond wedding ring. I loved her ever since.

I reckon that Sue Ellen left far too early,she started out as a drunken nympho and became ruthless sand nasty having learnt the art at the hands of the master.It should have developed earlier,she spent too long playing the doormat.It was the ruthless Sue Ellen that developed later on that JR wanted back in JR returns,It would have been better to see them butting heads as equals rather than him treating her like dirt for 9 seasons.

Linda Gray was so amazing at JUST emoting, using very limited dialgue that they built on her part.Even by season 2 she put on a diff facade everytime she was w the family or cliff or jr or the "Daughters of the Alamo" meetings etc.. My fave characters were always SueEllen, Cliff, and early Lucy. Some seasons Pam...JR was too much of a caricature...Even LG admits that SueEllen and Cliff "went on the biggest life journey's "
